Happy Birthday Pia!

In other news, Pia and ex-hubby Meshulim Riklis sold their home "Pickfair" for $20 million last month.

Almost another year come and gone in the life of Pia. There haven't been many news updates this year, but Pia was featured in The Encyclopedia of Guilty Pleasures: 1001 Things You Hate to Love. Pick up a copy for yourself or someone you know who loves Pia.

Also, I'm happy to be able to tell you that Cult DVD Zone has some Pia Zadora movies in stock on DVD.

I reorganized the Pia Photo Galleries and added some new pictures!

Also, there's been quite a bit of news lately regarding a cable TV special on Trio about the Golden Globes and its history, especially as it relates to Pia's award for Best New Star back in the early '80s. What I find most amusing is that most of the press mentions the film Butterfly in connection with that award, when that movie hadn't been released at the time of the award. Of course, I'm not quite sure what exactly Pia won the award for in that case, but it's all water under the bridge. If anyone has access to the Trio channel and would be willing to tape this special for me, I'd really appreciate it. Get in touch with me at chris at stomptokyo dot com.

Here are some links to a couple of related news stories that mention Pia.

The E! Entertainment Network will be showing a one-hour True Hollywood Story about Pia Zadora. The special debuts on May 26, 2002, and will encore on May 30. Check your local listings for more information.

Her True Hollywood Story follows the ride of this misunderstood singer and actress, from child star to chart topper to Penthouse centerfold. The story tells of her millionaire older husband, who tried to make her a superstar, and their unique, up-and-down romance.

E!'s web site also includes a gallery of photos from Zadora's personal collection.

Happy birthday Pia!

Pia Zadora and husband Jonathan Kaufer have split. According to Variety columnist Army Archerd, Zadora has moved back into Pickfair:

Pickfair once again has Pia Zadora living in the main house--and her ex, Meshulam Riklis, is living in the guest house. Riklis says Pia has separated from husband Jonathan Kaufer and she has moved into the showplace house of Hollywood history, in which she and Riklis have an ownership agreement. She moved into the house ``for better security,'' says Riklis.

Pia Zadora was featured in a "Where are they Now" interview this afternoon on Inside Edition. I'll see what I can do about getting clips online at some point.
