Some of the more memorable Tim Thomerson roles include John Reynolds in Volunteers, Brick Bardo in Dollman, Lester in Cherry 2000, and Jack LeBeau in The Incredible Hulk Returns. This last one is my favorite, because Lou Ferigno got to wrap a steel pipe around Tim's arms while that goofy guy who played Thor laughed it up. What an unforgettable movie moment. His latest movie is Last Chance, and true Thomerson fans know that Tim played The Blur in some candy bar commercials (Baby Ruth, incidentally).
I first became fully aware of Tim in late 1996 when my friend Scott and I began reviewing the Trancers films for our video reviews web page, Stomp Tokyo. I'd seen a lot of movies with Tim, but never fully realized who he was. Since then I've been watching Tim's stuff more, and although we rag on him pretty hard in the reviews, I'm a closet fan who admires Tim for his acting ability, his courage in the roles he accepts, and his willingness and eagerness to keep working in show business.
Well, imagine my surprise when Thomerson's name completely failed to pop up in a web search. This guy had no fan pages! What's wrong with the world?
So I took it upon myself to get something organized. After all, this guy deserves some recognition.
