The pictures are all from issues of Star Wars Insider, the official Star Wars Fan Club magazine. I strongly suggest you go out and buy it, mainly beacuse I don't want to be sued by Lucasfilm because I'm hurting their sales. To any Lucasfilm people reading this: I'm poor! It's stupid to sue poor people! And by the way, this page may take a while to load.
Darth Maul, cover model? DM (no, not Danger Mouse) was on the cover of the Feb/Mar 1999 issue. The cover blurb claims that "Evil Has a New Name." I'd have to guess that name is "Tooth Decay."
Is Darth Maul related to Sauron? From J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings: "In the black abyss there appeared a single Eye... The Eye was rimmed with fire, but was itself glazed, yellow as a cat's, watchful and intent, and the black slit of the pupil opened on a pit, a window into nothing." (The Fellowship of the Ring, page 471)
