King Kong Redux




"I'm going to name that one Gertie!"

I saw King Kong again yesterday. I just wanted to add a couple more observations to the list I already made.

- I looked again for a more substantial Sumatran Rat Monkey cameo than the sign in the hold, and I think I got it. There's that piece of body jewelry that one of the natives wears, the one that Jack notices and then later finds on the ship when Ann is kidnapped. The central piece in that piece of jewelry is a small skull, probably a Rat Monkey skull.

- The facial expressions on Kong are just fantastic.

- I didn't notice it the first time, but Kong actually bites the tongue out of the last V. Rex he fights. That's fairly gross.
