The New Game of Death



Just finished watching the not-Bruce Lee movie The New Game of Death, which also carried the on-screen title of Goodbye Bruce Lee: His Last Game of Death. The plot completely lost me. Basically there is an actor who is hired to play Bruce Lee in the uncompleted Game of Death. He sits down to watch the footage Bruce Lee made, and we watch that footage. Or maybe we don't, because the actor sub-plot never comes back. In any case, not-Bruce Lee is tricked into taking a box of money by some con men, and then not-Bruce gets into a bunch of fights culminating in his fighting his way up the Tower of Death. None of his opponents are the same as the real Game of Death. There's an a guy with a whip, a white wrestler, an Indian guy with nunchucks and an American boxer. At the end there is actual footage of Bruce Lee doing a few rotations in his grave.
