Identity

Identity was surprise hit from last year. It's also a surprisingly good film considering the scrip was written by the same guy who wrote Jack Frost (1997).

There are stories. In one a judge is being asked to consider a last minute insanity claim by a condemned murderer. It's the requisite dark and stormy night, and the prisoner transport that supposed bring the killer to the courthouse is late. Meanwhile ten strangers (including John Cusak, Amanda Peet, Ray Liotta, and Clea Duvall) are stranded at a remote hotel by flooded roads. Soon people are dying and body parts are showing up in laundry equipment.

These two stories are related, but not in the way it initially appears. Identity is a neat film, with a satisfying twist and an even more satisfying ending.
