I was surfing and I found out that
Serenity,
the movie version of the cancelled TV series
Firefly,

I finished watching all the TV episodes on DVD not to long ago. It's a damn shame that show got cancelled so quickly. I can't think of any recent shows that have been so well written and so well acted. I guess the "cowboys in space" setting turned most viewers off, because the ratings were terrible. It's too bad, because Firefly tried to some very interesting things, like eschewing aliens in its sci-fi setting, and portraying space travel with realistic physics (and no sound in the vacuum).
