Scott's Random Thought for the Day (Insomnia)



There's some bird that sits outside my bedroom window singing -- in the middle of the night. I've been informed that it probably a mockingbird, and I'm going to go out there and strangle it if i can catch it. My girlfriend informs me "that it is a sin to harm a mockingbird," whatever that means. I'm not going to harm it, anyway, I'm going to kill it. I also suspect the same bird of being responsible for the ring of bird poo that's been appearing in the middle of the patio recently, just as we were about to buy some patio furniture.

I doubt I'll get much sleep tonight anyway, bird or no bird. I suspect my yokel neighbors will be blowing up fireworks all night, because they can't imagine anyone having to work tomorrow morning.
