Someone Call Professor X!
This story has been bouncing around the
interweb for about a month. Researchers at UC Irvine have been studying a
40-year-old woman dubbed "AJ" who apparently has nearly perfect memory. Here's a press release about the
discovery.
The funny thing is, this woman is so completely a mutant in the X-Men mold. Her power is, as far as anyone can tell, completely unique. It manifested itself in her teens, and she kept it secret from people lest she be ostracized. Now she even has a secret identity!
