Scott's Random Thought for the Day (Greatest News Story Ever)

You may have heard about the Carolina Panthers playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. It wasn't much of a match (the Bucs seem to think an offense is something optional), but the pre-game show was FANTASTIC.

On Saturday night two of Carolina's cheerleaders (called.. wait for it... the TopCats) apparently, if witnesses and police reports are to believed, locked themselves in a restroom stall at a restaurant called Bannana Joe's in order to "engage in sexual activity." They tied up the stall so long that other patrons became angry, and when the cheerleaders left words were exchanged and one of the cheerleaders punched a female patron in the face. The cops were called and the two cheerleaders were arrested, after which one of them presented a fake ID.

Note that's in only punching part that got the police involved. I'm not sure if I can think of better example of the old adage "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye."

This situation presents a number of questions. If you're male, the first question in your mind is no doubt "Did they get any of this on tape?" (Nope.) But secondly, there's little doubt that these two women will be fired form the TopCats. Is that a double standard? After all, this would be a problem if it had been a member of the football team who had started a fight in a bar. Heck, there are teams in the NFL where if the worst thing anyone on the team does is start a bar fight they get a gold star for discipline. (*kaff*Vikings*kaff*)

Besides, isn't it the job of a cheerleader to provide a male fantasy? These two women made out in a bathroom and then started a bar fight. Seems to me they're doing their job very well.
