Scott's Random Thought for the Day (Miracles)



It turns out Pat Robertson can perform miracles. He can give Hugo Chavez the moral high ground.

Not that Hugo Chavez is the anti-democratic monster the Bush administration would like us to think he is, but he is an idiot prone to saying idiotic things, and he's definitely an incompetent leader when it comes to actually running a country. But along comes Robertson, one of America's most prominent religious figures, yapping about how the U.S. should assassinate the elected leader of another country. And the worst part is that Robertson made sure that we knew the most important part his preferred plan: "I don't think any oil shipments will stop."

Thanks, Pat. That will convince the world that we aren't starting wars just to get access to oil.
