Undoubtedly one of her best screen appearances, Zadora's role as the Beatnik Chick in Hairspray was the first time I ever really saw Pia Zadora in action. It's my fondest Pia memory. This is only really a cameo for Pia, but it's tons of fun!

Scenes of note:

• There are many excellent scenes, but the only pertinent one here is Zadora's appearance as the Beatnik Chick along with Ric O'Casek as the Beatnik Cat. Zadora reads from Ginsburg's Howl and encourages the main character (Ricki Lake) to iron her hair.
