Jeremy's WalletWhat could be more stimulating than viewing the inside of someone else's wallet? Lots of things, actually, but the voyeur in everyone should be pleased or at least amused by this systematic exploration of one man's billfold. What's Inside Jeremy's Wallet? is, beyond a doubt, the most organized and complete catalog of anyone's wallet on the web, complete with altered credit card numbers and an explanation of the absence of a condom. As with many things on the web, the actual content is pretty boring. The presentation, however, is something to see. Plus, the splash page is modeled after a monster movie poster, which is obviously heartwarming for those of us here at Stomp Tokyo.

Moist Towlette

Also missing from Jeremy's wallet is a moist towlette, although the folks who run the Modern Moist Towlette Collecting page have enough to make up for those of us who don't have them handy. Here again, we're not sure who would be interested in visiting this page on a regular basis, but it's worth a look to shake one's head at the weird obsessions you humans cook up. Honestly, why use a moist towlette when you have a perfectly good tongue?

EricIt's nice to see that someone is doing something useful with the web. Unlike the amusing time-wasters above, Eric Conveys an Emotion is a practical guide to human emotions as conveyed by facial expressions. There are plenty of guides for humans about how cats communicate, but this is the first reference I've seen that allows cats to interpret how humans are feeling. Eric has nicely arranged a large range of emotional states in a list, each of which links to a picture of Eric acting out that particular emotion. This Eric guy is one smart cookie.

Last on our list for this month is another b-movie review site that has popped up recently. Regular Stomp Tokyo readers may be familiar with the nickname "Apostic" from our message board. Well, Apostic got up off his rear (metaphorically, anyway) and started his own set of reviews, known as B-Notes. Taking a cue from Ken Begg of Jabootu (a previous Clickerama award winner), Apostic's reviews are long and painfully detailed. What I like best are the "Roots, Shoots, and Compares" at the end of each review, giving lovers of a particular movie some other titles in the same vein. In the expanding realm of b-movie reviews sites, it's encouraging to see one as well-written and researched as B-Notes.

Cat movie of the month

This month's movie is the ever-classic Breakfast at Tiffany's. This film revolves around a cat named Cat and the humans it lives with. Kudos go to the cat actor in this film, who was submitted to multiple indignities such as being left out in the rain and nearly trampled by a horde of humans who come over for a party. Fortunately, at the end of the film Audrey Hepburn comes to her senses and realizes that she can't live without Cat, and a tearful reunion scene results. A personal fave. Update: just released on DVD!

Don't forget to check out the archives for older editions of Clickerama.

Next update: 10/20/99.
