So you didn't get into Sundance
Good advice from Scott Macaulay at Filmmaker Magazine.
In short, after you get over the Sundance rejection, know that there are many more gatekeepers to approach. But if you learn one thing from the Park City pass, itís that you canít rely on these gatekeepers. You need to have a pro-active strategy that doesnít depend on them for your filmís greater exposure. Ultimately, you are responsible for your filmís success, not a festival programmer, and, once youíve taken that break, itís time to get back to work.
